Origin Natural Straight is steam-set to align each strand and lock in its yaki texture — no acid bath, no chemical straightening. Steam-setting preserves the cuticle layer while creating the slightly coarse, matte finish that blends naturally with 4A–4C hair.

The silicone coating is water-soluble only. It gives the hair its initial slip and shine, and washes out naturally over time without stripping the cuticle or masking underlying quality.

Heat stylingUp to 350°F / 175°C

Wash with a sulfate-free shampoo and a moisturizing conditioner. Detangle gently while wet, working from ends up. Air-dry to preserve the natural yaki texture. Apply light moisturizing products mid-shaft to ends — avoid heavy oils near the weft.

When flat-ironing, use a heat protectant and keep temperature under 350°F. Sleep with hair in a loose braid or satin bonnet to maintain the texture and prevent tangling.

Collection

Hair collected and sorted by our supplier in India. Cuticles are aligned root-to-tip at this stage and preserved throughout every step that follows.

Step 02

Steam-Setting

Hair is steam-set to create the yaki texture — heat and moisture lock in the slightly coarse, matte finish that mimics natural hair. No chemicals required, cuticle layer stays fully intact.

Step 03

Water-Soluble Silicone

A light water-soluble silicone coat is applied for slip and initial shine. It washes out over time — nothing permanent, nothing hiding underlying quality.

Step 04

Weigh, Label, Ship

Each bundle is weighed to confirm 100g, labeled with the sourcing card, and sealed. Every step above is printed on the card — exactly as performed.
