Origin Body Wave is steam-set to achieve its wave pattern — no acid bath, no chemical treatment of any kind. Steam-setting uses heat and moisture to shape the wave while keeping the cuticle layer intact.

The silicone coating used is water-soluble only. It conditions the hair and gives it slip — and washes out naturally over time, without stripping the cuticle.

Heat stylingUp to 350°F / 175°C

Wash with a sulfate-free shampoo and a moisturizing conditioner. Detangle gently while wet, starting from the ends. Air-dry or use low heat.

Avoid heavy oils near the weft — apply products mid-shaft to ends. Sleep with hair in a loose braid or satin bonnet to maintain wave pattern.

Step 01

Collection

Hair collected and sorted by our supplier in India. Cuticles are aligned root-to-tip at this stage and preserved throughout.

Step 02

Steam-Setting

Hair is wound and steam-set to create the S-wave pattern. No chemicals involved — heat and moisture shape the wave while keeping cuticles intact.

Step 03

Water-Soluble Silicone

A light water-soluble silicone coat is applied for slip and shine. It washes out over time — we use nothing permanent, nothing that hides underlying quality.

Step 04

Weigh, Label, Ship

Each bundle is weighed to confirm 100g, labeled with the sourcing card, and sealed. The card lists every step above — exactly as performed.
